What is the MPGFA?

The Maritime Pagan Gathering Festival Association (MPGFA), is a non-profit organization registered with the Nova Scotia Registry of Joint Stocks. It’s main purpose is to establish and organize pagan festivals and gatherings in the Maritimes which are essentially non profit events. Any money raised for these events goes back into the MPGFA to help maintain these events. Another goal of the MPGFA is to help educate the general public about paganism.

How large is the MPGFA?

It varies from year to year, but there has been a gradual increase of membership. In the last few years, the membership count has gone up drastically. In 2003 (on the Gregorian calendar) we reached a total of 257 members.

Who tends to join?

The members tend to be pagans, neopagans, earth-centered or friendly folk who want to take part in the events. Many have been pagans for years, many have just started finding themselves. There are many wise, knowledgeable, fun people in the Association. We have much in common, even though there are many paths.
