What is it?
The Avalon East Pagan Gathering, or AEPG, is an annual outdoor event held by and for pagans and other followers of Earth-centered spiritualities, and those interested in learning more about them. Something between a campout, small open air festival and three-day church picnic for heathens and astrologers, each year the Gathering welcomes people from all over the Maritimes, Central Canada and beyond.
Who is it?
The people who have attended the Gathering since its inception in 1995 have so far numbered between a hundred and a two hundred each year, and come from all corners of the diverse Pagan community. Witches and shamans; Druids and Asatru; diviners and craftsfolk; natural philosophers and organic gardeners; lifelong practitioners and curious seekers; all these and many more are present. The Gathering welcomes new faces every year.
The event is put on by the Maritime Pagan Gathering Festival Association, a registered non-profit society. A small board of volunteers elected from amongst the membership is responsible for running the event.

This year the festival will be at the Boyscout Camp in Malagash! Apply Now!! Get your Forms here! Yes, we are moving again. This site is fabulous and remote! There are no other campers or groups nearby and we have the site to ourselves! Friday night has been designated Drum Night! Let's get the energy of this place hopping! Bring drums and musical instruments for yourself and to share! If it rains we have a great longhouse available with woodstoves even. The ocean is right there with a view of PEI. The warmest water in the Maritimes! It's closer for those from NB, PEI and Cape Breton to drive to and far enough away from Halifax to make it an awesome weekend away! |
