Who is the MPGFA?

The MPGFA Executive Board is made up of dedicated volunteers from all over the community. The MPGFA however is primarily made up of you, the individual who wishes to help out with the pagan community to promote the community, education, events and pagan information to other pagans and the general non-pagan populace.

This part of the site is dedicated to describing in a little more detail the nature and especially the nurture of the Maritime Pagan Gathering Festival Association. Or to put it another way, here’s where we try to answer the questions: Who makes it happen? How do they make it happen? and Why do they make it happen the way they do?

For some who attend the Gatherings and events, the first two questions are irrelevant: You don’t need to know how they happen to enjoy them, any more than you need to know how many tiny gears your clock contains to read the time. The third one, however, is of interest to most, and at the end we’ve included explanations to several frequently-asked “Why’s”.

Alright, so tell me: Who makes it happen?

The President - Maeve!

Maeve is one of the originals! She has been to every festival since its inception and as worked in many capacities, including President, Festival Coordinator and just all round 'perfect' attendee! Please do feel free to contact Maeve at any time, she really is very nice!

Vice President - Mike

Mike has been around the fest since 2000 and has been involved in many aspects, including hosting that fabulous main ritual in 2007 that mother nature added a lovely light show to! He must have a few ins with the powers that be! ;) While he couldn't take on the Presidency this year he has decided to stay on as Vice and offer his expertise to this years exciting festival.

Registrar/Volunteer Coordinator - The Lovely Margo

Margo has been around the fest as long as Maeve and has been on the executive in some capacity for almost the whole time. This year as Registrar and Volunteer coordinator you will see her at the front desk and organizing volunteers and early on in the year you may see her when you pay for your membership at one of our events.

Member At Large - Jordan

Jordan is back this year - As member at large she is here to answer your questions and bring your ideas and concerns to the executive. If you would like to host a ritual at AEPG, or Rejuvenation or Beltaine or you would like to host a workshop or just have some great ideas, do contact her!

Secretary - Gwen

Gwen has been active in the MPGFA since her second festival (Although one would argue that she was active even before she attended the first AEPG!). She is on board to ensure that meeting minutes are kept and the paperwork is kept in order. With as many active, creative people on the exec, there needs to be someone who can successfully keep it all together! :)

Communications Coordinators - Kate and Lori

Kate has been our Communications coordinator and First Aid Coordinator for several years! With Lori on PEI they are responsible for getting information about our events out to the world at large and organizing the guidebook etc. You see Lori and the PEI crew usually at fest with matching outfits.
